The Central Regional Fire Command has taken its fire education to the fishing communities in the region.
This is in reaction to recent fire outbreaks in pre-mix fuel stations in some communities including Kormantsi and Elmina which claimed lives.
At the Pre-mix fuel station at Ntsin in Cape Coast and Elmina yesterday (February 18), the Regional Fire Service Command held sensitization durbar to educate the fishermen and women about the risk of keeping the fuel in their homes.
They also advised the pre-mix fuel committees not to sell the fuel close to community and among people.
