The Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barbara Oteng-Gyasi has clarified information that was put out by the Ghana Tourism Authority, regarding the re-opening of drinking bars and pubs.
The Ghana Tourism Authority, which is an industry regulator issued a statement, paving the way for some hospitality businesses including drinking bars to resume operations.
But the Sector Minister said the statement was unintentionally issued.
Mrs. Oteng-Gyasi, who was speaking at a media briefing in Accra, noted that drinking bars and pubs remain closed until further notice.
She explained the current decision and situation pertaining to the Hospitality industry.
