Head of Public Relations at the Ghana National Fire Service, Ellice Robinson Okoe, has denied claims that the online portal for recruitment into the Service in the ongoing mass recruitment exercise is inaccessible.

This follows reports that the portal is down, making it impossible for applicants to log on and apply after buying the ₵100 voucher.

Responding to calls for a refund, Mr. Okoe told Nathaniel Nartey that it will be impossible to refund the ₵ 100 voucher fees to applicants who are not selected because it was due to their mistakes.

“No the system is not down, you and I know that definitely once a lot of people are applying at the same time, there will be traffic and for that matter at certain points in time you will have the system run down, but it comes back”.

“The whole recruitment process involves some administrative expenses that is why we advise people to get the adverts to know the actual requirements and what they are supposed to do. Everything is spelt out in the adverts. Some people go with the intention of buying the forms at the Commercial banks, but before they realise they have been given an E-voucher. It means they didn’t get the correct information. So I don’t see why we should refund money to any of the applicants’’, Head of Public Relations at the Ghana National Fire Service, Ellice Robinson Okoe stated.
