Youth in Krachi in the Oti Region have raised concern about the fallen standard of the education in the area.
The youth and elders of the Krachi Traditional Council organised their first Home Coming that brought the people of Krachi from far and near to help solve the problems of the Community.
Mr. Ben Ntoso, the Krachi Youth President said at the durbar organised by the Youth that education cannot be relegated to the background, else development would elude the people of Oti.
”Education is more important in everybody’s life and must be looked at. It is a worry that the standard of education has fallen drastically in the Municipality these days”, he opined.
He also hinted at the level at which the Community experiences power outages and water shortage during the dry season is an issue of concern.
The event saw many people from afar including H.E. Kofi Mensah Demetiah, Ghana’s Ambassador to Togo, General Brigadier Dawohoso, the Municipal Chief Executive, Emmanuel Kajal Jalula and others.
Ghana’s Ambassador to Togo, Kofi Mensah Demetiah said he would also support the people of Krachi. He proposed a demographic assessment of the situation in the town so as to tackle the issue confronting the people of Oti more scientifically.
He tasked the organizers of the Home Coming to do more by rallying the people to propel unity in the Community in the coming year.
