The leader of the International Godway’s Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has publicly confessed to the fallacy of his previous claims regarding possessing supernatural powers, including transforming into animals such as snakes and lions to harm his enemies.
In a recorded video that has gone viral, Bishop Obinim expressed regret over the misinformation and labeled it as a period of mistakes and immaturity in his Ministry.
He sought forgiveness from his church members and advised viewers to surround themselves with positive influences.
“I said I could transform into any animal and do what I wanted to people. Those were mistakes. I have the calling of the Lord, and through my prayers, I can help you, but I don’t have the power to transform into an animal and all other things that I spoke about,” stated Bishop Obinim.
Despite his repentant stance, some skeptics view this confession as another strategic move to enhance his public image and attract more followers to his one-man church.
Bishop Obinim, a sensational televangelist, has previously claimed to be the “spiritual President of the world,” asserting superiority in spiritual matters.
In the past, he bragged about his unique spiritual abilities, including transforming into different forms, a claim he now renounces.
The Bishop admitted that others surpassed him in material wealth, education, and other aspects but asserted his spiritual prowess.
While he had previously narrated a visit to Heaven where he was celebrated by angels, he now concedes that these narratives were fabrications.
This sudden U-turn has left many questioning the sincerity of Bishop Obinim’s confession and the motivations behind it.
