Presidential Hopeful Mr. Kofi Akpaloo has outlined his vision for a prosperous Ghana, focusing on investing in people and empowering the youth during the Presidential Encounter on 21st November 2024.

His plans are inspired by biblical principles aimed at addressing poverty and creating opportunities for all Ghanaians.

Quoting Hosea 4:6, which highlights the importance of knowledge, and Proverbs 29:18, which emphasises the power of vision, Mr. Akpaloo explained his commitment to equipping Ghanaians with the tools they need to succeed.

“Lack of knowledge increases poverty, and that is why my government will invest in the people to help them acquire knowledge and pursue their vision,” he stated.

One of his flagship policies is the creation of a $10 billion Job Fund aimed at supporting young people to realise their dreams. According to Mr. Akpaloo, this initiative will provide resources to help the youth develop their skills and unleash their full potential.

Education is another cornerstone of his policy agenda. Mr. Akpaloo promised to extend free education to the university level, building on the existing Free SHS program. He also pledged government support for parents to afford items on school prospectuses, easing the financial burden on families.

To prepare Ghana’s youth for a tech-driven future, Mr. Akpaloo plans to prioritise teaching computer programming in schools. “Investing in education and knowledge acquisition is key to ensuring our citizens are equipped for the challenges of the modern world,” he said.

With these ambitious plans, Mr. Akpaloo aims to transform Ghana by building a knowledge-driven and visionary society where every citizen can thrive.
