About one hundred forty-seven thousand (147,000) registered voters are expected to cast ballots today in the Ketu South Constituency in the Volta Region.
This number is to cast ballots for twelve (12) Presidential Candidates and two (2) Parliamentary candidates in persons of Samuel Wisdom Doe Haligah on the ticket of the NPP and the incumbent, Abla Dzifa Gomashie for the NDC.
The distribution of electoral materials by officials of the Electoral Commission to all voting centres is underway in Ketu South Constituency ahead of the much awaited 2024 elections slated for Saturday, 7 December 2024.
A visit to the various polling stations has revealed how busy officials were sending materials to the centres together with agents of political parties.
The Municipal Director of EC, Kofi Sakyi Boampong, assures of polls opening at 7 am as scheduled.
According to him, all is set, and his people are ready for today’s national exercise.
He said about two hundred and ninty-five polling centres (295) including two (2) special voting centres to be located at the forecourt of the Assembly.
The distribution exercise is being supervised by armed police officers.
