The Managing Director of Barclays Bank Ghana Limited, Mrs. Abena Osei-Poku has called on Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery to explore areas for the two organizations to work together
The issues discussed at the meeting, included asset acquisition for security agencies and financing options, such as; provision of vehicles through lease, border security management as well as revenue mobilization through the introduction of innovative solutions.
The Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery, commended management of Barclays Bank Ghana for the initiative.
“This is innovative and the kind of banking we are looking forward to” he said.
He reiterated that, the success of President Akufo-Addo’s flagship programmes, One-District-One-Factory, (1D1F), One-Village-One-Dam, (1V1D), Planting for Food and Jobs, Free SHS Programmes are hinged on a safe and secured country and thus called for collaboration of all in that respect.
“Collectively, we all have to play our part to create that necessary secured environment for the growth of people and businesses” he emphasized.
Mrs. Abena Osei-Poku was accompanied by Ellen Ohene-Afoakwa, and Richard Kokoih, Corporate Director and Head of Public Sector, Barclays Bank Ghana Limited, respectively.
