South Africa has banned Zimbabwe’s national airline from using its airports because of unpaid fees.
The South African airport management company said Air Zimbabwe’s only serviceable plane had been stopped earlier this week from flying into Johannesburg – the company’s single international destination.
It added that Air Zimbabwe had been warned that it would not be allowed back to any South African airport until the outstanding fees were settled.
It is unclear how much money South African authorities are demanding.
There has also been no comment from Air Zimbabwe.
