A Ghanaian artist, Glen Sam, has expressed his strong desire to turn Keta in the Volta region into a tourism hub.
He said Accra, the capital city of the country, cannot be considered a reflection of the beauty of this country.
He added that other places, like Keta, have some beautiful scenery, which one can travel to see and enjoy. He charged Ghanaians in the diaspora to visit Keta any time they returned to the country.
Glen made these statements in an interview with the media at the Tsadidi Street Arts Festival as part of this year’s Hogbetsotso Festival celebration, where artworks, paintings, and the culture of the indigenes were displayed.
On his part, the manager for Glen Sam, Carl Gidiglo, said the wonderful piece was put together for the people of Ghana to appreciate what Keta has in the arts and talents industry.
He explained that the intention is to make Keta a household name in the tourism industry, where people will be excited to visit.
According to him, they can achieve this with a display of a gallery of arts in the Keta township.
He charged Ghanaians to support the work so that the vision of Glen Sam would materialise.
