The Ghana Police Service has arrested eight suspects for unlawful entry and threatening workers at the Metro Mass Transit workshop at Sunyani in the Bono Region.
Police rapid response team within the area swiftly responded to a distress call from the workshop which led to the arrest of the 8 suspects.
These arrests bring the total number of suspects apprehended in connection with incidents of attacks, vandalism, and looting of properties to 97.
Briefing the media on Post-Election Security measures at the National Election Security Task Force Press Centre, the Director of Public Affairs, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, said, the suspects are in Police custody and being taken through the investigative processes.
ACP Ansah-Akrofi wishes to assure Ghanaians that the Police and other security services are committed to preserving the peace and security of our community.
