The youth of Afadjato South have been given a fresh breath of hope through a new educational initiative called the “Youth Educator” program. This program is a deliberate and conscious effort by its architects to ensure that the youth of Afadjato South are not left at the bottom of the educational ladder.
The main architect of the Afadjato South Youth Educator program, philanthropist Madam Tracy Semanu Tegbey, is driven by her conviction to provide the youth in Afadjato South communities and their environs with opportunities comparable to those available in more privileged areas of the country.
Tracy Semanu Tegbey believes that by offering encouragement and making conscious efforts to help the youth visualise their own futures, they will be able to see through their dreams and eventually actualize them. This approach aims to reduce the current trend of youth desperation and its attendant avoidable crimes.
The Youth Educator program prioritises seeking partnerships with educational institutions, securing educational assistance from various entities, and creating scholarship opportunities. These initiatives aim to place the youth of Afadjato South in various educational institutions, giving them the chance to pursue and continue their education.
According to Tracy Semanu Tegbey, the program has already yielded positive results. Many youth who previously could not continue their education due to unplanned pregnancies or financial constraints are now back in school.
The Youth Educator program therefore represents a significant step forward in empowering the youth of Afadjato South, providing them with the resources and support they need to build a brighter future.
