Executive Director of Child Rights International, Bright Appiah, has expressed concern over the exposure of children to inappropriate content on both traditional and social media.
This follows the suspected ritual murder of an 11-year-old boy at Kasoa by two juveniles.
Speaking to an Accra-based station, Mr. Appiah, called on government to properly regulate the allocation of frequencies to prevent unwholesome content that can contribute to such acts.
Police in Kasoa have confirmed that the two teenagers, who were arrested on Saturday for killing the 11-year-old, wanted to use the deceased for ritual purposes. The two suspects are Felix Nyarko, 16, and Nicholas Kini, 17.
They lured the deceased to an uncompleted building, hit him with a club and cement blocks, killing him instantly.
