Member of Parliament for Odododiodio, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye says debt owed the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST), which is a strategic stock location for the supply and distribution of premix fuel, should not be used as a yardstick to defend its inability to assist fisherfolk with the scarce commodity to support their operation.
In an interview with GBC News, he lamented that the government has been giving assurances of providing fishing communities with premix fuel, which has been in short supply for some months now but nothing concrete has been done to address the challenge. While urging the Fisheries.
”Ministry to walk the talk in providing pre-mix to the fisherfolk,” he noted.
Mr Vanderpuye encouraged MPs along the coast to help put pressure on the government to do the needful.
