Junior and Senior Staff of the Electricity Company of Ghana have called for the immediate removal from office of their Managing Director, Kwame Agyeman-Budu over alleged mismanagement of the company.
They said the continuous stay at post of Mr. Agyeman-Budu will collapse the electricity distribution company because he is deficient with matters relating to administrative and corporate governance.
The staff, who said the decision was taken at a joint National Executive Committee meeting, also alleged that several petitions to Mr. Agyeman-Budu to involve its rank and file in revenue mobilization since last year have also been ignored.
In a statement, the staff accused the Managing Director of breaching procurement processes.
They said over the period he has been at post, Mr. Agyemang-Budu, has had poor working relationship with top management and does not take advice from his technical deputies perpetuating a culture of silence amongst top Management members.
The staff wants appropriate actions taken by Friday, April 23, 2021, or they will advise themselves.
