The Ghana Cooperative Cashew Farmers and Marketing Association is urging the government to give priority consideration to the composition and inauguration of the Ghana Tree Crops Authority and its Board created to regulate the production and marketing of other cash crops such as cashew.
It says any further delay in the outdooring of the Board could worsen the plight of cashew farmers as buyers continue to exploit the uncontrolled sector at the expense of the growers.
The National Secretary of the Cooperative, Clement Anane, made the appeal while interacting with selected journalists at Sampa in Jaman North District of the Bono region.
