The Public Services Workers Union (PSWU) of TUC has expressed concerns at Government’s decision to go ahead with the Budget presentation without finalising issues on the Base Pay and Minimum Wage for workers this year.

This is because it will have serious implications on the budget if Government goes ahead with the presentation without finalising negotiations.

Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, will be delivering Government’s 2021 Budget Statement and Economic Policy on Friday, March 12, due to the unavailability of the Finance Minister-designate, Ken Ofori-Atta.

But General Secretary of the PSWU, Bernard Adjei, said if Government goes ahead with the budget presentation without resolving the issues it will be in breach of agreed terms with the Unions.
