Government has allocated ¢2.5 million to initiate the implementation of response and preparedness plans towards the Coronavirus.
The Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, announced this during a news conference in Accra Tuesday, February 4.
The allocation of the amount comes after the WHO warned that Africa stands a high risk of spreading of the disease due to its vulnerable population.
The Minister has also initiated a process to procure ten thousand pieces of personal protective equipment for the use of all frontline workers.
