One major challenge facing the children’s ward of the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua is the inability of some parents to pay their children’s bills when they are discharged after treatment.
This according to a Senior Nursing Officer at the hospital, Francisca Antwi Amanor is worrying. She has therefore appealed to parents to enroll their kids onto the National Health Insurance Scheme.
Madam Amanor made this known when the Trinity Presbyterian Church at Adweso, a suburb of Koforidua presented some items to the hospital as part of its 25th Anniversary celebration.
Resident Minister of the Church, Rev. Raymond Baah Abeka asked Ghanaians to treat sanitation as a national issue and keep their surroundings clean at all times.
He entreated all to adhere to the COVID-19 safety protocols, by washing their hands regularly to help combat diseases such as diarrhea and cholera.
