The Chairperson of Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC), Mrs. Jean Mensah has been re-elected President of the Association of African Electoral Authorities.
Mrs. Mensah was elected at the Sixth Continental Forum of Election Management Bodies held jointly by the Association of African Electoral Authorities and the Department of Political Affairs of the African Union Commission in Nairobi, Kenya.
In an address following her re-election, Mrs Mensa said she would take the necessary steps to ensure that the Secretariat functioned effectively and played the co-ordination role expected of it.
As initial steps toward achieving the goals, she disclosed that the Secretariat would work with stakeholders to commission the development of a website to serve as the gateway to the Association and give visibility to its activities.
