The National Chairman of the larger opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, is optimistic about the fact that, his party will be declared the winner of the upcoming general election with more Members of Parliament to form Majority.

He said, “I’m confident we’ll return to office with a significant number of MPs” as he charged the supporters to “finish strong, protect our votes, and secure victory for Mahama and NDC PCs.”

He said in government, NDC will reset the state institutions, natural resources, and more.

“When we get our institutions right, development will follow. We’ll meet again to celebrate our victory.”

Addressing hundreds of NDC members at the final campaign rally held at Zurak Park at Madina, Accra, Mr. Nketia noted that, for the past two months, they embarked on a historic campaign, unprecedented in Ghana’s history as he  reminded the charged crowd that it’s not over until it’s over.

“We must continue mobilising people to vote. Having visited all constituencies in Ghana, the messages are uniform. The message to JM is clear: Ghanaians have decided to return him to the presidency, whether he likes it or not,” he added.

He, however, asked members to tell the NPP that the longer they cling to power, the more they’ll suffer.

“Let them face judgment for the harm they’ve caused Ghana and find freedom in accepting defeat. Whenever the NDC seeks power, the NPP uses state security to undermine us, but we must assert that JM is the next president of Ghana, and nothing can stop it.”

……”the NDC will make history as the first party in Ghana to produce a female Vice President, who will champion women’s and children’s affairs. Interestingly, the NPP is now campaigning for Mahama while opposing NDC MPs—we see through their tactics. We won’t let them deceive you.

We need both Mahama and NDC MPs in parliament to hold them accountable.”
