Ghana coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has celebrated his captain Andre Ayew after deservedly scooping four awards at Swansea City’s end-of-season awards for 2019-20.
The 30-year old won the Player of the Year Award, the Players’ Player of the Year, the Away Player of the Year and the top scorer awards after a good campaign.
Akonnor urged his captain to ‘keep it up’ as he congratulated him for winning the awards.
The 30-year old enjoyed a phenomenal campaign with the Welsh club, and came close to helping them make a quick return to the top flight, but agonizingly lost to Brentford in the semifinals of the promotion play-offs.
Congrats @AyewAndre. Well deserved
Keep it up https://t.co/CbgrFXSsum

Andre Ayew scored 18 goals in all competition to finish the campaign as top scorer, 15 of those goals in the regular season, two in the EFL Cup and one in the play-offs. He also contributed seven assists.
He was on target in the first leg of their play-offs semifinal game against Brentford.
The awards were held virtually this year as the original awards event – in conjunction with the Executive Fundraising Committee and Supporters Trust – was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
His outstanding performances in the English championship has seen him attract interests from several top clubs including French giants PSG.
