Following his announcement of resignation as La Liga President on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in order to create an avenue for a new election, Javier Tebas has been re-elected as president of La Liga once again until 2027.
Tebas has won the previous three elections, making this his fourth and current win.
He has been the President of La Liga since 2013. Taking charge of all league administrations concerning the Spanish League. Tebas winning this election after resigning and calling for reelection speaks well of his ability to still control the affairs of the league.
Tebas has been acknowledged for increasing the finances of the league in general and also restructuring the league’s sales of television rights. His ambition is to help the Spanish League supersede the global dominance of the English Premier League.
Tebas will officially take office on December 14, 2023.
